How far in advance should I book and why?

When getting engaged and starting your wedding plans choosing your wedding vendors is an important task in your to-do list. There are many choices for all kinds of styles. Regarding hair and makeup, one of the most important factors to consider when choosing a vendor is to define your dream wedding look to search for the best fit. Also, the kind of service and communication your vendor has to offer is key. You want someone you can connect with and that will help you make the most of your special day.

When you find the vendor of your choice it is important to book their services as soon as possible. On average, we receive wedding leads about 8-12 months before the wedding day. And most vendors, including myself, just take one wedding booking per day to really focus and give our best to our clients. Also consider there are certain dates that are busier, including Saturdays, Sundays, and most holiday weekends. April, May and November are the busiest months. If your wedding day is close by these dates, book as soon as possible. Some vendors open bookings with no more than 12 months in advance so have this in mind.

And regarding budget, it might happen that your favorite vendor is out of your range, but before you feel disappointed, ask yourself, should I lower my budget for other services to get my dream wedding look? Is this other service more important to me than the way I’m going to look in person and in pictures on one of the most important days of my life?
